Legacy Requirements

• Bridges:Knowledge Architecture tools should provide Bridges to current architectures and implementations. The transformations should be illustrated with representative examples
• Issues:Knowledge Architecture tools should Addresses UML-2 strategic issues, providing an approach to address as many of the strategic issues identified for UML-2 as possible and within the scope of an integration architecture
• MOF:Knowledge Architecture tools should specify their relationship to MOF, especially as while the MOF provides a mechanism to describe the abstract syntax of languages, it does not (and was not intended to) provide a library of concepts that can be projected for different languages
• Upgrade:Knowledge Architecture tools should support backward compatibility, providing legacy model and artifact upgradability, unless this would compromise other essential requirements of the CAE
