Operation Support Semantics This third and top logical layer and paradigm is designed to provide support for model
and modeling component semantics to support operations introduced by theintegrating paradigm.
Semantics Consistency Based and rooted (e.g. meta-model/schema) in the
REMMS Knowledge Architecture Paradigm (KAP), this extensible virtual and conceptual modeling component semantics core or library
provides the required model and model projection consistency.
Virtual Modeling Components This conceptual modeling component library supports existing notational modeling components
as defined in current modeling dialects like UML (e.g. class, object, actor, association,
swim-lane, state, etc), BPMN (e.g. process, sub-process, work-flow, etc), and others,
as well as new and future extensions, including 3D and n-dimensional modeling, as
well as other modeling component forms and notations, including logic facts, natural
language-based components, and all other modeling component form that may be required
for knowledge architecture and modeling.
Separation of Concerns Separating the semantics into conceptual components, from notational components provides
the structure for language, dialect, and notation equivalence a key concept for model
projection, translation, circular modeling (e.g. import/export), and many other knowledge
architecture and modeling key features.
Semantics Infrastructure This approach to modeling semantics is possible because of its underlyingknowledge architecture paradigminfrastructure.
Guidelines This section considers basic guidelines in designing and implementing this modeling
semantics layer and paradigm.
Flow As is typical throughout the document/site, the logic flow follows the order of the
titles in the menus and we recommend, at least initially, following them in sequence.
As usual,feedbackis appreciated.
